Yanina Nano Lembo had taken office in June and will leave office but not the national government. “Needs of this new stage of management,” argued the ruling party.
In a brief official statement, the national government made official the departure of Yanina Nano Lembo of the Secretariat of Children and Adolescence of the Ministry of Human Capital. This is a new modification in the middle of a management restructuring process, which led to the Secretary of Culture to the orbit of the General Secretariat of the Nation and now they appointed the former vice president of Aerolíneas Argentinas in the Childhood area, Juan Bautista Ordoñez.

At the beginning of the administration, the position was in the hands of Pablo De la Torrewho was fired in June amid an investigation into hiring irregularities. His replacement was Nano Lembo, who arrived with experiences in social areas in the city of Buenos Aires: he was Undersecretary of Social Policies of said organization and general director of Public Private Articulation in the Ministry of Social Development during the government of Horacio Rodríguez Larreta.


“The team led by the Minister Sandra Pettovello responds to the needs of this new stage of management. In this context, Juan Bautista Ordoñez will take over as Secretary of Children, Adolescents and Family, while Yanina Nano Lembo will play a new role within the ministerial structure. We continue to advance under the premises established by President Javier Milei: a smaller and much more effective State,” explains the official document.

Prior to his management position at Aerolíneas Argentinas, Ordoñez was Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Infrastructure between December and March of this year, then dissolved due to the departure of the minister Guillermo Ferraro. Previously, he had prolific executive experience or as an advisor to transnational organizations: Herbalife, Barrick God, Codere, Human Rights Link and even YPF.

Within the framework of the visits of national officials to the Budget and Finance Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, Yanina Nano Lembo recounted the position of the Government of Javier Milei regarding the programs childhood and adolescence for 2025.
The interventions of the deputies in the presence of the Secretary of Children and Family they pointed to the underexecution (when it was not a total lack of execution) of programs for the protection of minors that are in the current Budget and were also included in the project. The opposition deputies (from the PRO and La Libertad Avanza did not ask to speak) mentioned the cancellation of the social monotax that the official did not deny (“we are here to discuss the budget, it is not appropriate to give that answer, the social monotax is a valid tool”); the Line 102 that offered a telephone service for children and adolescents with violated rights and was not executed (they are in the process of changing the format or transferring responsibility to the provinces); the Pike Law (“it was ideological and we entered into a review process”); wave Breeze Law for children of victims of femicide that is being underexecuted (he noted that it will not be closed)
Yanina Nano Lembo highlighted in several sections of his reading the decision to “end the intermediation of social policy“, so of the nearly $4 billion budget in her area (according to what she said, 43% more than the current budget) “almost 90% will be allocated to direct transfers.” Likewise, the official emphasized the need to “promote the early childhood strategy and strengthen food provision”, for which they will allocate 79% of the sum in two main lines of action: “promote early development, from gestation up to 3 years” and “give the family back its place as the center of life“.
