As part of the UBA in Action program, they will be distributed 5,000 units of repellent starting at 10:30 and each one has a concentration of 7.5% of DEET, an active component effective against the Aedes aegypti mosquito, transmitter of dengue.
The UBA joins other universities, such as University of La Plata and the National University of the Coastwho are also producing repellents to distribute for free in their communities.
Dengue: UBA delivers repellents
To participate, it is necessary pre-register sending a WhatsApp message to number 11 3758-9941. The repellents will be delivered to those who attend an informative talk on prevention of dengue and its symptoms.
In addition to the delivery of repellents, those who attend the event will receive information about How to act if you detect symptoms of the disease and the importance of avoiding self-medication. The objective of these talks is encourage an informed and rapid response against dengue, which affected the country in recent seasons.

The UBA will deliver free repellent of its own production: where will it be?
The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) confirmed that it will deliver repellent of its own production for free this Thursday, November 14 and Saturday, November 16, in Plaza Houssay. The measure is part of the prevention campaign against dengue, as summer approaches and the chances of contracting it grow.
In this way, they will carry out an awareness and prevention activity against dengue, while at the same time they will be delivered (with prior reservation by WhatsApp) repellents developed in a joint effort between the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry.
