The Cybertruck is one of Tesla’s most emblematic models, but for months it has been facing serious technical problems that hit Elon Musk’s automaker.

On this occasion, there were a total of 2,431 vehicles and those who have an affected model will not be able to resolve the failure through an update to the car’s operating system. The company warned the owners of these vehicles that they must physically repair their trucks.

More than three months ago, tesla began an investigation into a batch of transmission unit inverters that they suspected were defective.

In mid-October they confirmed that these systems affected vehicles that were in production from November 6, 2023 to July 30, 2024.

Since the defective units of the electric car began to be marketed, Tesla has detected a total of five faults and warranty claims that “may be related to the condition.” For this reason, the automobile company has decided to withdraw the vehicles from the market in order to review and resolve the defects.

In the third quarter of 2024, the Cybertruck managed to establish itself as the third best-selling electric vehicle in the USafter the Model Y and Model 3, also produced by Tesla.
