Cyber ​​Week 2024 boosted growth in the travel coverage market

Europ Assistance, global leader in travel assistance, was present for another year at Cyber ​​Week, standing out in the travel coverage market with growth in sales compared to 2023, especially in the B2B2C channel, which involves travel agencies. Purchasing trends reflected a strong interest in national and multi-destination destinations, with a notable preference for more protective coverage.

One of the most in-demand products during Cyber ​​Week was coverage Gold of USD 80,000, which, as part of a re-engineering of the company’s plan portfolio, saw an increase in its total limit, which was previously USD 60,000. Along with this trend, the new coverages that Europ Assistance presented in the last month have already begun to gain ground, with the Diamond plan standing out as the one that has had the greatest acceptance among consumers.

New coverage portfolio: greater flexibility and protection

In line with its strategy of innovation and adaptation to new market demands, Europ Assistance launches a renewed portfolio of travel coverage with improved benefits and expanded limits. Starting in November, new plans include expanded coverage options and additional services to meet travelers’ diverse needs.

Among the main changes, the following stand out:

  • General coverage limit increase: The Titanium Plus (USD 150,000), Silver (EUR/USD 35,000), Bronze (USD 15,000) and National EA (USD 3,000) plans are now added to the plan Ruby with USD 500,000the Diamond plan with USD 300,000 and the Gold plan, which increases its coverage from USD 60,000 to USD 80,000.
  • Increased coverage in care for chronic or pre-existing illnesses: Coverage amounts in this category increased for each plan, and new levels were added. The updated values ​​are: Ruby (USD 75,000), Diamond (USD 45,000), Titanium Plus (now USD 22,500, before USD 1,000), Gold (USD 12,000, before USD 500), Silver (USD 5,250, before USD 350) and Bronze (USD 2,250, before USD 200).
  • Age limit extension: The age limit to access coverage was increased from 85 to 90 years, providing greater peace of mind to older travelers.
  • Long stay products with greater coverage: Added to the Extreme (USD 60,000) and Energy (EUR/USD 35,000) plans is the new Power Stay plan, which offers expanded coverage of up to USD 150,000 for extended stays.

These new products, which are already being well received by the market, are designed to adapt to different traveler profiles, from those who opt for occasional trips to those who make extended trips, providing a more personalized and protected experience.

In addition to the expanded limits, Europ Assistance continues to offer value-added services, such as telemedicine, emergency dental assistance, repatriation, coverage for amateur sports, compensation for lost luggage, concierge service and legal assistance.
