The corona pandemic brought the mobile home manufacturer Knaus Tabbert a lot of orders. That’s over: bad business goes hand in hand with unrest in the executive suite.
Major shareholder Wim de Pundert is taking over the helm at recreational vehicle manufacturer Knaus Tabbert, which is suffering from a lack of orders. The Dutchman will take on a dual role as CEO and CFO, as the supervisory board announced. De Pundert was previously a member of the supervisory board himself.
The company from Jandelsbrunn in the Grafenau district of Lower Bavaria produces caravans and mobile homes. Last year, Knaus Tabbert achieved sales of 1.4 billion euros. Due to a lack of capacity utilization, production at the company headquarters and in the Hungarian Nagyoroszi factory has been suspended since this week. However, work is still underway at two other locations. Knaus Tabbert has significantly reduced its sales and profit forecasts for this year.
First, CFO Caroline Schürmann left the company in February, and CEO Wolfgang Speck took over her duties – until he also left at the end of October “for personal reasons” and only two board members remained.
