The coach of racing, Gustavo Costasassured that “we have to win no matter what” the final of the South American Cup against Cruzeiro this Saturday in Paraguay but expressed that he would like to be remembered as a fan of the club and not as a coach.
“I want to be remembered as a fan. Neither as a mascot, nor as a player nor as a coach, always as a fan, because the Racing fan is the greatest thing the club has”said the coach in the press conference prior to the game.
And he added: “You have to win the final no matter what. I always said that this group surpasses everyone I had in my career: they train, they drink mate, they sing, they get along very well”.
The coach also assured that he would like more moments like this to be repeated: “Enjoy them. I’m a fan and something like this costs a lot. Since I took over, he said that we need an international title. I hope that if we win, we won’t have to wait another 30 years.” or more for another cup, because generations are lost. Racing is passion.

And he asked people to continue encouraging because that makes the team want to: “They achieved this. We received a lot of blows, but we are here in the final. I have never experienced this in the club, and I have been there since I was little… “I see the madness, which is beautiful, with my family, with my friends, the fans. I tell the fans to trust them, we can play well or badly, but despite the difficulties they always left everything for the shield and this shirt.” .

“It makes me very happy to be encouraged by the fans of the clubs where I coached, because in life you always have to leave something behind. It’s ugly to go through a place and not leave something behind. You have to leave a good memory, beyond what you know.” can win financially or not, I will always get the love of the people, as happened to me in clubs here in Paraguay, in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador,” revealed the coach who coached Alianza Lima, Barcelona from Ecuador, Cerro Poteño from Paraguay and Independent Santa Faith, among others.
“Here is like my home, all the people give me a lot of love, everyone’s respect. God put me right against Cruzeiro, the rival of our last international final, and in Asunción. Racing had a great team, it was very humble, it surpassed many problems and perhaps it was not recognized as it should have been. I hope they don’t make a mistake tomorrow and we win,” concluded the DT.
