According to a comparative report carried out by Fundación Ecosur on 24 products, it was observed that the 88% of them were cheaper buying them abroad with the new conditions. On average, the prices surveyed are 40% lower on Amazon than in local storesconsidering an exchange rate corresponding to the MEP dollar.

For example, in the segment of electronic productsthe price gap between international and local purchases widens considerably. According to the survey, consumers could pay on average 50% less on Amazon than in Argentine stores. Among the categories with the greatest differences, the headphones (-66%)the tablets (-57%)the cell phones (-55%) and the notebooks (-54%).

Regarding clothing, Ecosur recorded that the products surveyed are, on average, 25% cheaper on Amazon than in the local market. The largest price differences were observed in divers and jackets (-59%), t-shirts (-18%) and pants (-13%).
