333,864 people are looking for work, 71,130 people are taking part in training measures. The number of people registered as unemployed, including participants in training courses, has fallen by 1,993 people in a weekly comparison. Unemployment (including training courses) is currently below the values of the comparison points in the past three years.
Pre-registrations for short-time work rose to 159,454 this week (previously: 136,995), at the same time fewer people are pre-registered for short-time work than at the end of January 2021 with 470,493 pre-registrations. Among other things, this is due to the currently positive economic momentum, which is not being slowed down by restrictions like last winter, according to Labor Minister Martin Kocher (ÖVP) in a broadcast today.
