Real estate ad: VW board of directors sells million-dollar villa on Immowelt

8 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 garages: VW board member Thomas Ulbrich sells his Wolfsburg villa for 1.8 million euros. Anyone who has always wanted to know how a VW manager lives can take a look at the advertisement on the Internet.

It’s not Hollywood, it’s Wolfsburg. But the villa that is currently being offered on the Immowelt portal is still interesting. Because the “exclusive single-family home”, which is for sale for 1.8 million euros, has a prominent owner. VW board member Thomas Ulbrich is selling his home here, as “Business Insider” reports.

The advertisement with its 22 pictures gives an insight into how a VW top manager lives. It shows a white two-story building, with modern furnishings, surrounded by a green lawn with a garden pond and – of course – plenty of parking space for cars. The property is 1783 square meters. The living space of 375 square meters is divided into eight rooms, two bathrooms and a spacious kitchen. There is also a cellar. “The generously built property was built in 2007 and impresses not only with its exclusive location, but also with its first-class equipment,” says the advertisement.

Two garages, a dressing room

The property is located in the Fallersleben district of Wolfsburg, near the Volkswagen factory. The pictures show a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an open kitchen with a cooking island and a gallery on the upper floor. A spacious dressing room with shoe and wardrobes is also a must. A single garage plus a double garage and additional parking space on the property are appropriate for a car manager. The wallbox for charging electric vehicles should also have been important to VW man Ulbrich. As electrical director, he brought the first all-electric VW to the road in series with the ID.3.

The real estate offer is also causing a stir because top manager Ulbrich was about to leave the group at the end of last year. The departure of the board of directors, who had shaped the VW electric strategy, had already been announced. The U-turn followed in January and the group promoted Ulbrich to Chief Development Officer.

And now? Ulbrich is and will remain the Chief Development Officer, said a company spokesman for the “Business Insider”. The sale of his house was solely for private reasons.
