Habeck offers African countries closer cooperation

In Nairobi, Robert Habeck advocates for closer economic cooperation between Africa and Germany. However, the Minister of Economic Affairs does not neglect to specify the prerequisites for this.

Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck has offered the African states closer cooperation and called on them to create secure framework conditions for this. “German investors need a safe and stable investment environment,” said the Green politician at the opening of the 5th German-African Economic Summit in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. This is the basis for investments, but also for the lives of people in the African countries themselves.

Habeck pointed out the importance of economic cooperation in times of conflict and war as well as for dealing with climate change. The African continent is particularly suffering from the consequences of climate change. Global warming cannot be stopped, but it can be slowed down with the right actions.

The German-African Economic Summit, held every two years, is Germany’s most important economic event on the African continent. This year there were around 800 participants from 35 African countries and Germany.
