He has only been with Audi since June and has exceeded expectations. Now the Frenchman has more responsibility.
Audi Chief Innovation Officer Geoffrey Bouquot will also take over the development department at the Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer. The former head of technology at the French automotive supplier Valeo has been on the Audi board since June and heads the newly created innovation and software department.
At the turn of the year, Audi is introducing a new organizational structure with fewer interfaces, leaner committees and clearer allocation of responsibility. “Now is the right time to hand over responsibility for technical development into the hands of Geoffrey Bouquot,” says CEO Gernot Döllner. Bouquot provided important impulses and more than confirmed the trust placed in him. The technical development and innovation/software-defined vehicle departments would be merged under his leadership. Oliver Hoffmann was head of development until March.
