Through a publication in the Official Gazette, Trenes Argentinos called on bidders to ensure preventive maintenance of the rolling stock and have the necessary spare parts for safe operation.
Within the framework of the railway emergency, Argentine Trains launched the abbreviated national and international certification for acquisition of 802 wheels for the cars that provide service on the Roca, Mitre, San Martín and Belgrano Sur lines.
The measure was published in the Official Gazette, and the delivery period established by the railway operator was stipulated at 180 calendar days.
The spare parts are necessary for safe operation and to ensure preventive maintenance of the rolling stock and therefore, the railway company dependent on the Ministry of Transportation of the Ministry of Economy, made the call for Direct Contracting by Railway Emergency for the Acquisition of Wheels for cars CSR Sifang EMU, CNR Tangshan DMU triples, CSR Puzhen towed cars and Materfer towed cars.
The call will be open until December 19. The modality for the purchase will be through an abbreviated certificate, which makes it possible to call more bidders and shortens the deadlines with respect to a tender.
Having new wheels will allow the circulation of AMBA trains to be optimized, significantly increasing operational safety levels for the more than one million passengers who use the service daily, the Government indicated.
