The House of the province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islandslocated in the city of Buenos Aires, presented last Saturday, the “Gateway to Antarctica”a space to learn about the scientific and logistical challenges that come with operating in an environment as extreme as the white continent.
“The proposal of the House of Tierra del Fuego invited rethink the role of Antarctica as a key territory in the context of climate change, international cooperation and scientific research“, explained in a statement the provincial headquarters of Sarmiento 731, CABA.
The presentation took place during the Night of the Provincial Houses 2024where the Buenos Aires headquarters of each province opened their doors to bring the cultural culture and natural riches of their lands closer to the public.

The event was organized by the Federal Council of Official Representations (CONPHEDRO) with the support of the Federal Investment Council (CFI) and the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Sports of the Nation, headed by Daniel Scioli.
Gateway to Antarctica
The presentation of the space of the “Gateway to Antarctica” He told the historical, educational and operational aspects related to Argentina’s experience on the white continent. There were cultural activities, artistic presentations and samples by the Argentine Antarctic Institute.
