Because of her children: Allianz CEO gives up position
The turn of the year brings a change at the top for the life insurer Allianz. The previous CEO Katja de la Viña is retiring.
The largest German life insurer Allianz Leben is getting a new CEO. Katja de la Viña is giving up the position she has held for two and a half years. “[Sie] “I now want to be there more for her two children and will work part-time for Allianz during this phase.” Allianz Leben’s current CEO in Switzerland, Ruedi Kubat, will become CEO of Allianz Leben on January 1st.
Allianz CEO returns from Switzerland
Kubat had already worked for Allianz in Germany from 2015 to 2018 before returning to Switzerland and taking over as CEO there in 2022. Laura Gersch, who has been CFO of Allianz Versicherungs-AG, Allianz’s German property and casualty insurance subsidiary, will take over his post in Switzerland.
