Two former Racing and Independiente, champions in padel for ex-footballers

The Circuit of Padel of ex-footballers FUPA concluded his successful first season with the Master FUPA Latinfin that was held at the World Padel Center in Nordelta and had as winners Luis Chino Benitez in pairs with the Paraguayan Roberto Toro Acuñaex Racing and Independent respectively. In the final, they beat Luciano Olguín and Fernando Lorefice in the most emotional and even match of the day, it was 4-5, 5-4 and 7-4 in the tie break match.

In this way, Benítez, former Racing, will be first in the FUPA ranking, since previously, along with Valentin Violahad won the titles in the first two stages.

On their way to the title they defeated the Diego Cagna-Rolando Schiavi couple in the semifinals in two sets; while Lorefice-Olguín did the same against Matías Giordano-Hernán Lamberti.

In the quarterfinals, the pairs of Renato Civelli-Emanuel Rivas had already been left behind; Leo Pisculicci-Pablo Álvarez; Valentín Viola-Diego Perotti, and Guillermo Pereyra-Pablo Burtovoy.

The FUPA circuit had a successful start and next year, more stages will be added to the circuit and in several countries in the region such as Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay.

The tournament was played with a first phase under the Round Robin system. The best eight qualified couples competed for the main title and the remaining ones competed for the Silver Cup, where Matías Gigli and Alexis Blanco took the trophy.

In the final, they beat Rodrigo Rengo Díaz and Diego Bentron in two sets.

Other participants of the Master were: Alejandro Domínguez-Carlos Matheu; Pablo Santillo-Ignacio Canuto; Martín Minadevino-Emanuel Culio; Mariano Pernía-Mariano Campodónico; Jhonatan Botinelli-Miguel Caneo; Diego Markic-Marcelo Lamas; Adrián Callelo-David Drocco; Pablo Alvarado-Jeremías Caggiano; Nicolás Valentini-Emiliano Papa, and Ezequiel Scaronione-Juan Manuel Insaurralde.
