Ángel Di María’s revelation, 2 years after the World Cup: “I watch the Cup every day”

Angel Di Maria remembered the historic coronation of the argentine national team which had him as the protagonist two years ago in Qatar. “Fideo”, already retired from the “Albiceleste”, told how his first contacts were with the World Cup and because it is common nowadays.

“The first image that comes to me is when I was finally able to kiss the World Cup after receiving the medal. It was the most desired moment. That feeling of saying today was my turn, I was able to achieve it”began Say Maria.

“We had already achieved the Copa América and the Finalíssima against Italy, but the dream of winning the World Cup has no comparison with anything”he said in an interview with Ole.

“Being world champion was the best thing that happened in our lives to all of us who were there that day and surely to all Argentines, because what was experienced in Argentina was crazy. So the greatest happiness and the greatest trophy is to have given such great joy to the entire country,” he said, remembering December 18, 2022.

“The only thing I have at home from the World Cup is the World Cup. It is a great joy to get up, look in the living room and see it there. It is the most beautiful thing there is”revealed Say Maria about the most precious decoration in your home.

Di María and his legacy in the Argentine National Team

“I think what I left behind is the same thing I tried to show in the documentary I made: insist on not giving up, never give up. What I learned from this whole trip is that, always try and look for your dream. As I said a thousand times, in the end you will achieve it, you will end up breaking that wall and achieve what you set out to do,” reflected the man from Rosario.

“I believe that the Copa América at the Maracaná was my last bullet and from then on everything changed. It was difficult all those years and I don’t know if destiny had saved all this for us until the end. If destiny wanted this and I have to return it to live this way, I would like it to be like that. I wouldn’t (want to) start winning everything and then end up losing several finals,” he concluded.
