This Friday the draw for the Argentine Cup 2025, the tournament that brings together teams from all categories of national football in a competition that has gained relevance in recent years, on the same day in which the schedule of the next League Cup was announced.
The event took place at the futsal stadium at the Lionel Andrés Messi stadium, in Ezeiza, and defined the matches corresponding to the round of 32. Of course, among the most important are the rivals of River and Mouth for his debut, as well as the information on when the two could meet in said competition.
By prior determination of the organization, River and Boca could only meet in a hypothetical final of the Argentine Cup. In this way, there will not be a match until a supposed final match that would leave the champion of the national competition.
The 2025 edition will have 64 qualified teams from the different categories of Argentine soccer. The 28 teams from the Professional League will participate, along with the best 15 from the Primera Nacional, six from the Primera B Metropolitana, five from the Primera C and ten from the Federal Tournament.
The champion of this edition will obtain a direct ticket to the Copa Libertadores 2026, which adds an additional incentive for all participants. Central Córdoba de Santiago del Estero, current champion, will not only seek to repeat its feat, but also consolidate itself as a competitive team at the national and international level.
