Either we go together everywhere or we go separately

In the middle of the internal dispute between the PRO and La Libertad Avanza (LLA), President Javier Milei came out to give a strong message addressed to Mauricio Macri. In statements this Sunday, the President considered that ““either we go together in everything or we go separately”, in relation to the electoral alliance for next year’s elections, an issue that has been raising dust in the Government.

Milei is preparing for what will be next year’s electoral contest. It seeks to rearm its space and strengthen it with the support of the PRO, its fundamental ally to achieve victory in 2023 and with which it overcame several obstacles by approving several laws with the support of that space in Congress.

Javier Milei and a direct message to Mauricio Macri and the PRO for the elections

In recent weeks, statements by former President Macri heated up the PRO’s relationship with LLA, starting with the discussion of setting up the electoral structure for the 2025 legislative elections.

It was from that side that Milei responded to the query, in an interview he gave to Forbes this Sunday. There he announced that he will seek to consolidate his own force in the National Congress, and left a strong message for Macri and the PRO: “Either we go together in everything or we go separately.”.

“The elections are going to be extremely important to mark the speed of reform. We did it quickly, but “We could have done it much faster,” the President explained.

In that sense, when asked if he could negotiate with Mauricio Macri’s candidates in certain jurisdictions, Milei responded categorically: “I do not make that calculation. I flatly refuse. That is cheating the electorate. Or we go together in everything or we go separately. Traps the electorate, no. Those of us who are on the side of the ideas of freedom, we take this side.

And he added: “I’m not interested in the other side because I’m not there, I have nothing to talk to the kukas,” said the libertarian in relation to the arming of Peronism, thinking about the upcoming elections.

On the other hand, Milei once again gave a message for his first year in office, in which he pointed out against politics, which hindered the Government’s progress in terms of legislative changes: “The pain that the Argentine people had to endure during the first quarter, if it had not been for the fact that politics clouded everything, it would have been much shorter,” he considered.

The City condenses tensions between LLA and the PRO

The political climate at the end of the year seems to move on two levels. On the one hand, a certain calm in official offices, perhaps due to the Christmas weather, which contrasts with the high voltage that dominated a frenetic 2024. Officials planning vacations, with a request for austerity from the President, macroeconomic stability, the extraordinary sessions that were not, the expulsion of the Senator Edgardo Kueider that is beginning to be left behind.

The internal conflicts and frictions of politics seem to have the echo chamber of City of Buenos Aireswhere unknowns prevail for next year, but with a path that will give clues for the rest of the country. Important figures appear in the ring, outlining one of the most attractive battles of the 24 that will take place next year. Especially because of climbing the bid between LLA and the PRO Both spaces may be forced to put the best on the ballot. Meanwhile, strong names also appear in the rest of the spaces that explore options, advantages and disadvantages.

Mauricio Macri revives possible candidacy in full tension with La Libertad Avanza

Without competitive candidates of our own in the City of Buenos Aires, and with Freedom Advances (LLA) threatening to apply for Karina Milei and Manuel Adorni in the mother district of the PROnow Mauricio Macri He once again analyzes the possibility of being a candidate for national senator for the Buenos Aires district.

This electoral experiment would imply a scenario of definitive break between the President and the PRO, in a political armed scheme where Macri fails to pierce the iron triangle that has Karina Milei and Santiago Caputo as the main vertices.

The only possibility of forming an electoral front with the PRO, admitted by the ruling party before the consultation of Scopeis that the space led by Macri is diluted with its own candidates within a ballot headed by LLA and with a majority of Milei candidates. “If they don’t accept, let them run alone and come out third,” challenges one of the ruling party’s main electoral organizers.
