On the other hand, the labor portfolio extended until Monday, January 31, the registration period for the Repro II programs, Assistance to independent workers in critical sectors and Extraordinary Assistance to the hotel sector in affected tourist areas and localities, the latter created by jointly with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

The measure, which strictly speaking represents an extension of 24 hours, was taken “by virtue of operational reasons of the web service” of the labor portfolio, it was indicated in resolution 78/2022 also published today in the Official Gazette.

For its part, the extension of the benefit period for the reduction of employer contributions regulates the provisions of decree 899 of December 28, 2021, “in order not to affect the economic sustainability of the productive units and preserve the level of work registered”.

In this way, employers who access the benefit granted by Repro II and whose declared main activity is some of those included in the so-called “critical sectors” will have a 100% reduction in employer contributions accrued between the monthly periods included between May 2021 and June 2022 (the previous resolution established it until December of last year).

Likewise, they may rectify the determinative and nominative affidavits of contributions and contributions accrued within the aforementioned period until August 31, 2022 (instead of February 28 established by the modified rule).

Repro II grants assistance of $22,000 for workers in companies in critical sectors, the same amount as for health and self-employment, while the subsidy for affected non-critical sectors is $9,000.

For its part, the Independent Work Assistance program covers the sectors of gastronomy, tourism, transportation, cultural industries, sports and leisure activities; commerce of non-essential items, personal services (hairdressers, beauty centers) and essential branches whose billing has been affected.
