In an event held at the legendary and always current Teatro Colón and hosted by Rodolfo Barili, journalist ambassador and user of the Bavarian brand, BMW Group Argentina received its guests in the magnificent Golden Hall for the launch of the new BMW 5 Series. Accompanied at the entrance door by a BMW Germany has sponsored the Teatro Colón for three seasons, in an agreement that allows its great performers from abroad to enjoy their transfers in BMW vehicles during their stay in the country.

Coming from Dingolfing, Germany, the eighth generation of the BMW 5 Series arrives in our country with its 550e xDrive version. This offers a plug-in hybrid propulsion system (PHEV) belonging to the fifth evolution eDrive technology that, thanks to the joint work of its six-cylinder, 3.0-liter, 313 HP combustion engine with its 197 HP electric torque, can deliver a maximum combined power of 490 HP and travel approximately 90 kilometers in 100% electric mode.
At the same time, the total torque of the hybrid system together with the intelligent all-wheel drive system and the eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission allows the 550e xDrive to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. Its maximum speed is 250 km/h, while its battery has a capacity of 19.4 kWh and can be charged in about 3.5 hours with a 7.4kW charger.
