Tapia’s arrival to office was a decision by the governor of the province of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof.
During the inauguration ceremony, led by the Minister of Government of the province of Buenos Aires, Carlos Bianco, and the mayor of Avellaneda, Jorge FerraresiTapia highlighted that CEAMSE is a “key institution to improve the quality of the region’s residents.” In that sense, he stressed that “environmental restoration It is essential to build a sustainable futureminimizing the environmental impact through technology and sustainable innovation,” he emphasized through a publication on his social networks.

“Chiqui” Tapia returned to CEAMSE
Tapia had already been part of the CEAMSE, in his time as vice president representing the City since 2015. However, the head of the Buenos Aires Government, Jorge Macri, removed him from office in October 2024 because “he was expired.”
