The new values ​​of the tax on liquid fuels and the tax on carbon dioxide were established in article 1 of decree 1134/2024, published days ago in the Official Gazette.

The measure enabled the increase to take effect as of January 1. However, the majority state oil company YPF retained the increase until the end of the festive period for New Year. The value will be valid until the 31st of the same month.

How much will gasoline cost during January?

This update is part of the price honesty process promoted by the Ministry of Economy a year ago, adjusting the values ​​in depending on inflation variations. a few days ago, YPF announced what the new prices will be like.

In the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA), the The price of a liter of premium diesel will go from $1,123 to approximately $1,142. Premium gasoline, currently at $1,370, will rise to $1,394, while super gasoline will increase from $1,108 to $1,127 per liter, after applying the 1.75% increase.

With the initial kick-off from YPF, it is expected that the rest of the oil companies operating in the country will order an update of the values ​​of gasoline and diesel at the pumps.
