The president of the Argentine Chamber of the Toy Industry (CAIJ), Dr. Matías Furió, highlighted that the entity carried out a important investment in the promotion of the festival, achieving an increase in the number of units sold. Despite this progress, The sector still faces the challenge of recovering the levels prior to the falls of 12% in 2024 and 3% in 2023.

Games and toys They represent more than 80% of gifts intended for children children under 6 years old during Three Kings, which makes this date a key event for the toy industry. (See sales ranking in the annex.)
However, Furió pointed out that the sector closed the year with a contraction of 10.4%. This decline is mainly explained by a complicated first semester and a negative performance during Children’s Day, which recorded a drop of 16%. This last date, which concentrates 60% of annual sales, had a significant impact on the overall results of the year.
Among the most important complaints of the Chamber is the tax burden that impacts competitiveness, as well as the operational and logistics costs that the sector assumes to export.
