A global service provider like Lufthansa is actually always hiring. Around half of the new staff are being sought in Germany.
The Lufthansa Group wants to hire around 10,000 people worldwide in 2025. Compared to the previous year, this is a decrease in the planned number of around 3,000 people, according to a statement from the company. Nevertheless, the total number of employees will increase even after deducting departures, explains a spokesman.
Europe’s aviation group with the highest sales currently employs more than 100,000 people in 90 countries. We are looking for staff for the cabin, for technical professions, administration and for services on the ground. There are 800 new jobs for pilots in the cockpits of jets. There are said to be fewer hires than in the previous year at the core company Lufthansa Airlines, which is currently undergoing a savings program.
According to the announcement, around half of the jobs can be filled in Germany. Lufthansa remains an attractive employer, says Human Resources Director Michael Niggemann. “Last year alone we received 350,000 applications across the group and we hired over 13,000 employees.”
