Those who are successful also have enemies. And anyone who has a strong brand has to protect it from the competition. This sometimes leads to absurd arguments – which almost always end in court.
If a company has a strong, successful brand, attacks from competitors are almost certain. Attempts are being made from all sides to damage it or profit from it. For the brand itself, it is almost vital to ward off such attacks.
It is often small brands that want to attack and challenge corporations. And such a dispute almost always ends in court.
Colors, stripes, bears are cases for the court
Sometimes the processes are about “Supermac’s” like now, but sometimes it’s about the color purple like in Milka vs. Tony’s Chocolonely, sometimes it’s about a few stripes like in Nike vs. Adidas and sometimes it’s like in Haribo vs. Lindt Bears that are only very distantly related to each other.
