We can reach an agreement on everything

The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, expressed optimism about the possibility of an electoral agreement between the PRO and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) with a view to this year’s legislative elections. In addition, he stressed that he considers the former president “a good candidate.”

“It is possible to reach an agreement on all aspects. When there is agreement in objectives, common points can be found; “Everything depends on the breadth and greatness of the sectors interested in achieving this understanding,” he stated in an interview with Radio Rivadavia.

Franco stressed that, although it is not a simple task, it is not impossible if the parties involved prioritize a shared vision of Argentina’s problems over personal or party interests. “There are many factors to consider, but with greatness and a common approach, the agreement is feasible,” he concluded.

“The President made a open call to reach an agreement and win the elections. In response, Macri expressed his willingness and suggested the creation of a working table. There are many issues that we must address with the PRO and the UCR; “We have already worked together in Congress to achieve the approval of important laws,” recalled the La Libertad Avanza official. Furthermore, he emphasized: “It is not just about an electoral agreement, but about defining the necessary issues so that freedoms are the central system of Argentina.”

At another point in the interview, the mileista leader referred to the unfolding of the Buenos Aires legislative elections. “It clearly has a political undertone. If Milei obtains good results in the polls, this will impact the elections”he stated. He added: “This split is intended to ensure that the image of the Government in local elections is not so affected. However, I do not know if that is in our best interest as it must be considered from a national interest perspective.”

The call to extraordinary

The Chief of Staff also spoke about the request for Extraordinaries and stated that the National Government will seek agreements with the opposition blocs to try to advance with the temary proposed by Javier Milei for the extraordinary sessions scheduled to begin on January 20.

“We are a minority bloc. We always need to seek agreements, and in some cases it is more complex than others,” highlighted the minister.

In statements to the program “If it happens, it happens” on Radio Rivadavia, Francos confirmed that the ruling party will send “a Clean File project that has been worked on since last November.” “They said that we had an agreement with Kirchnerism. It was totally false. We just wanted to have the best project for this.”said the Chief of Staff.

Meanwhile, he maintained that “the agreements for judges and their promotions demand a greater political discussion,” but maintained: “We will seek, as always, agreements for their treatment.”

“There are 150 documents ready to be dealt with by federal judges, chambermaids, and the reality is that the National Government wants to deal with them. It has to get the agreements,” Francos insisted. In that sense, he explained that in the coming days they will talk “with the rest of the forces to be able to advance, but it takes time.”

“We are going to try to advance the appointments,” remarked the chief of ministers.
