The president of the CC block, Juan Manuel López, maintained that It is about “offering another tool to avoid the superimposition of taxes on taxpayers.”

The initiative seeks to prevent a tax burden from being applied twice, as has happened on many occasions at the national level, or from the same tax being replicated in a province.
“The penalty will be one to four years of prison and special disqualification for double the amount of time for the public official who dictates, sanctions, approves or executes a law or ordinance that implies, with respect to the same taxable event, the double taxation of taxes. , contributions or rates that conflict with Law 23,548 on Federal Co-Participation of Fiscal Resources”, establishes the project.
López recalled that in September of last year, Elisa Carrió’s 2018 project was presented again, which aimed to put an “end to an abusive practice carried out by the provinces and municipalities, the inclusion of charges or taxes in public service bills. that are not related to the effective provision of services”.
The project was designed by López and signed by his bench colleagues Maximiliano Ferraro, Mónica Frade, Paula Olivetto, Marcela Campagnoli and Victoria Borrego.
ANDIn the foundations of the project it is stated that it is necessary to “incorporate this aggravating circumstance that has its origin in the undesirable effects that the superposition of taxes produces on taxpayers and the tax administration.”
He adds that “the distribution of tax power between the different jurisdictions is provided for in the National Constitution and has evolved over time.”
