The Palestinians were transferred from Israel’s Ofer prison to the outskirts of Ramallah in Palestine. There they were welcomed with fireworks and crowds in the streets surrounding the buses celebrating their arrival.
The Palestinian Authority Prisoner Affairs Commission reported, through a list, that all those released are women or minors, who had been detained for crimes related to Israel’s security. The accusations against him ranged from stone throwing to attempted murder.

The exchange of hostages takes place within the framework of the truce reached after months of intermittent negotiations negotiated by Egyptian and Qatari mediators.
According to the agreement, Hamas and its allied extremist groups will release 33 hostages captured in Israel during the attacks of October 7, 2023. In exchange, Israel will release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
