ADAC: No impact of the refinery fire on fuel prices
If a refinery fails, this can have a local impact on fuel prices. However, the fire at Bayernoil in Neustadt has not yet made itself felt.
The fire at Bayernoil in Neustadt has not yet had an impact on Bavarian fuel prices. A sample from the ADAC showed that the Bavarians did not have to pay a disproportionate amount at the gas station on Monday. On the contrary, the Free State was the third cheapest country in the morning. However, this could change quickly, the traffic club said. It also depends on the actual impact of Friday’s fire.
However, Bayernoil is still keeping a low profile on this matter. When asked about the extent of the impact on production, which product groups are affected and how long possible restrictions will last, the company did not provide any details. Bayernoil is already working on a reconstruction plan and the full recommissioning of the plants “in addition to the careful analysis of the incident,” it said.
