Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova supported the initiative of the All-Russian Association of Civil Aviation Trade Unions (OOP GA) and the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) to adjust the jet fuel damper mechanism, representatives of these organizations told Izvestia.
According to them, the official will instruct the relevant departments to study this issue. The possibility of fixing the damper bar for jet fuel at the level of 2021 was discussed on January 28 at a meeting of the Russian tripartite commission (RTC) for the regulation of social and labor relations under the leadership of Tatyana Golikova, the PLO GA specified.
“Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs Tatyana Golikova will be given instructions on this topic. Now the instruction is being formed,” said Miroslav Boichuk, chairman of the coordinating council of the PLO GA.
The participants in the commission’s meeting agreed that the proposals of the trade unions would indeed be studied by the government, Oleg Sokolov, secretary of the FNPR, confirmed.
In the office of Tatyana Golikova, Izvestia was told that the minutes of the meeting of the RTK had not yet been signed.
Previously, trade unions proposed to fix the damper cut-off bar for kerosene by the end of 2024 at the level of 2021 – 53.25 thousand rubles per 1 ton of kerosene. By returning to last year’s damper level, airlines would be able to receive more compensation from the budget. An additional subsidy could be used to pay salaries to pilots and flight attendants, the authors of the initiative believe.
