A macabre discovery occurred in a building located in Nogoyá 2718, Villa del Parque, which was invaded by a strong nauseating smell for almost seven months, without the neighbors or the manager being able to determine its origin.

Silvia, 50 years old, suffered from a psychiatric pathology which worsened during the pandemic, but few knew about it in the building or in the neighborhood.

Finally, her friend Estela Maris alerted a policewoman about his prolonged absence. With a court order, The door to the apartment was opened, and Silvia’s body was found inside in an advanced state of decomposition.
No signs of violence or forced entry were found. Due to the deterioration of the body, the cause of death could not be determined at the scene, so it was transferred to the Judicial Morgue for an autopsy.
The case was classified as “Investigation of causes of death” awaiting forensic results. No family member has claimed his body, reflecting the loneliness in which he lived and died, without anyone noticing his absence for months.
