The nationwide warning strike at Swiss Post affects practically all larger cities in Bavaria, according to the Verdi union. But only a part of the services is affected.
The warning strike at Post and DHL meets 33 cities in Bavaria. In principle, it is about every city, which was larger for Bavarian standards, from the Verdi union, which had called for a nationwide warning strike. In addition to Munich, the affected cities in the Free State include Nuremberg, Augsburg, Bayreuth and Kulmbach.
In total, more than 2,000 employees are called for a warning strike. That is all employees in all classes of Tuesdays, said the state worker manager Robin Faber. He was very satisfied with the strike involvement in the morning. In contrast, stationary institutions of the post office are not affected.
Verdi had already announced a warning strike day in large cities and larger cities in all federal states on Monday, and this was the reason for the fact that the second round of negotiations had not brought any tangible results last week.
Verdi insists on a wage plus of seven percent and additional vacation days. “The employers describe our claims as unavailable – an unacceptable attitude for us,” said David Merck from Verdi. “With the warning strikes, our members send the clear message:” We are ready and are serious to fight for our demands. “”
