The car manufacturer’s employees face significant cuts. However, there are still no concrete negotiations.
Audi employees apparently face high loss of income. The board has a list of measures that would also affect the collective agreement, according to IG Metall. In a leaflet from the union, there is talk of a “relentless list of horror of savings, shifts and cuts”.
Among other things, shifts in tariff increases are mentioned, the elimination of surcharges and a reduction in the participation in success. According to a report by the “Focus” magazine, this could affect a monthly content. This dimension is also assessed as “plausible” from well-informed circles in conversation with the German Press Agency.
Audi himself does not comment on paying or precise content, but confirms exploratory talks with the works council. The Pact Audi. Function stipulates “that new negotiations are taken up in the event of deteriorated entrepreneurial framework.” This is now the case.
The works council also confirmed “exploratory talks”, but did not give any specific figures. Jörg Schlagbauer, chairman of the overall works council, recently criticized “brutal austerity measures” required by the Audi board. According to IG Metall, however, there are no concrete negotiations.
