The accident had been worried for weeks in early December. Around 70 ships were stuck on the Moselle and had to be clipped. From now on, an important transport route for many raw materials and goods fell away. At the Koblenz public prosecutor’s office, an investigation is carried out against a 27-year-old on suspicion of hazardous shipping.

The neighboring Luxembourg reacted with joy and relief to the current release. Yuriko Backes said that the result of an “excellent cooperation” of everyone involved was that the recovery in February and not only in March, Minister of Mobility and Public Works. Everyone had worked “with great commitment to the rapid restoration of these essential infrastructure”.
