Verdi runs the delivery of letters and packages
Management and the Verdi trade union will soon come together again in the collective bargaining at the post office. Verdi would like to increase the pressure beforehand – some letter is therefore probably late.
In the collective bargaining conflict at Deutsche Post, postman and package messenger for one day are to put their work down. For a corresponding warning strike at a large number of locations in the federal territory, the Verdi union called in the morning. The request is also aimed at so -called composite deliverers – i.e. postmen that deliver both letters and packages.
It is the sixth warning strike day since last week. In the past few days, the work of work has affected a low single -digit percentage of the shipment quantity – these programs remained for the time being and should then be delivered with a delay of one to two days. According to Verdi NRW, other locations are struck than on Wednesday.
Verdi demands four additional vacation days for members
Verdi calls for a fee increase of seven percent and three extra vacation days so that employees can recover from the increased workload. Verdi members should even get four additional vacation days.
Swiss Post does not consider the claims to be economically presented. Management refers to the high investment requirement and the falling mail quantities in the digital age, which gives the company less money into the cash register. According to the representations of the Bonn logistics DHL, to which Deutsche Post belongs, the scope for wage increases is very low. The collective bargaining will continue next Wednesday (January 12).
