Why are the private schools exempt the employer contributions

The government argued that The main operational and financial expense of private schools is related to wages, which include employer contributions. According to the regulations, the application of increases in employer contributions in 2025 would cause a Excessive increase in costs for these institutionsespecially in the regions far from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and the Province of Buenos Aires, due to the differences in the reductions of those that benefit according to the regulations in force in each region.

Besides, It was indicated that the increase in employer contributions would generate a negative impact on provincial budgetssince the state contribution not only covers teachers’ salaries, but also the employer contributions associated with those salaries. In cases where schools do not partially receive the state contribution, the increase in employer contributions could lead to an increase in tariffs that families must pay, affecting their economy. This, in turncould impact the provision of educational service, especially in the most needy regions and in limited resources institutions that serve the most vulnerable populations.
