The Federal Tax Service is preparing a payment service for the self-employed

The tax service plans to launch a payment service for the self-employed directly from the My Tax application in the near future, Izvestia learned. It is noted that the new functionality can start working in February this year.

In particular, according to sources, the service will be useful for those who do not have their own website, as they will no longer need to register with third-party payment services. Everything will be accumulated in the “My tax” that every self-employed person has. All he has to do is select a payment service in the application: then an invoice for buyers will be issued and sent to the post office or to any messenger, where the client, having paid everything, receives an electronic check.

YuMoney told Izvestia that the company is aware of the introduction of new functionality by the tax service. They noted that the possibility of integration with the service is being considered. The self-employed use YuKassa (YuMoney payment service) to receive payments: in December last year, turnover increased four times (by 323%) compared to December 2020, the company’s press service added.

“The function of accepting payments directly in My Tax will be convenient for the self-employed. The new functionality will be relevant for those who do not have a continuous flow of orders or their own website, as well as those who work offline, ”Sergey Smirnov, commercial director of NPO Moneta, told Izvestia.

Experts interviewed by Izvestia believe that the need for a new payment service is high. Its correct implementation will reduce the size of the commission on the market, which sometimes reach up to 5% of the transaction amount, experts calculate.
