Kevin Spacey responded and criticized the recent statements of Guy Pearce about unwanted insinuations during the filming of the film The confidential by the actor of House of Cards.
Earlier this week, Guy Pearce spoke about his unpleasant experience working with Kevin Spacey in the film The Confidential of 1997. Pearce said that at that time he responded to the alleged insinuations of Spacey ignoring them and thinking: “Ah, that is nothing. Ah, no, that is nothing. “
He continued: “I did that for five months and, really, I was a little fear of Kevin because he is a rather aggressive man … but I was young and susceptible, and he had me in the sights, no doubt”
Pearce said he had only been able to fully understand what had happened after the accusations against Spacey came to light a few years ago: “I was in London working on something, and I heard [los informes] And I collapsed and cried, and I couldn’t stop. I think that I really realized the impact that had happened and how I ignored it and how he had set aside or blocked it or whatever. That was a really incredible attention call. ”
He continued: “Although I was probably a victim to some extent, I was certainly not a victim in any way to the extent that other people have been of sexual predators.”

The discredited Spacey has resorted to X (formerly Twitter) to respond directly to Pearce’s accusations. In a video entitled “Grow, Guy Pearce. You are not a victim “Spacey said he would have preferred that Pearce would not have “spread this in the media.”
“We worked together for a long time, If I had done something that would have bothered you, you could have communicated with mewe could have had that conversation. But instead, you decided to talk to the press, which of course now chases me because they would like to know what my answer to the things you said is. Do you really want to know what my answer is? Mature ”.
“Did you also tell the press, by the way, that one year after rolling the confidential you flew to Savannah, Georgia, while I rolled Midnight in the Valley of Good and Evil just to spend time with me?” Samed Spacey. “Did you also say that to the press? Or does that not fit into the victim narrative you have? I apologize for not receiving the message that you don’t like to spend time with me. Maybe there was another reason, I don’t know. Spacey concluded: “Now you are here, on a mission, about 28 years later, after having passed through hell and returning to do what? Just in time to stop the bad? Is that what is happening here? What took you so long? Did you finish the gasoline to your horse? I mean, if you want to have a conversation, I am happy to do it at any time and anywhere. We can even do it here in X if you want, I have nothing to hide. But Guy, you need to grow. You are not a victim. ”
Spacey was accused of sexual assault by Anthony Rapp In 2017, and in the following years several more accusers appeared. In 2022, a jury in New York determined that Spacey was not responsible for aggression in relation to Rapp’s accusations and, last year, a United Kingdom court declared him innocent of nine positions of alleged sexual aggression.
Last year, new accusations appeared against the actor at the Channel 4 documentary Spacey Unmasked. Spacey has denied all the accusations made against him.
