Buenos Aires Government will grant financing to flooded producers in Villegas

During his visit to the municipality, the minister also met with the mayor, Edward Bell, with whom he analyzed the situation in the region after the last storm and discussed the programs available to the MDA to accompany and strengthen agricultural and agri-food production.

“Our commitment is that in the cases in which there is affectation there is assistance from the Province. There is an emergency law and we are already working with the Nation to see the articulation mechanisms, but we also have an Agrarian Trust Fund that allows us to create specific financing lines and our intention is to implement it in this case,” Rodríguez said.

On the other hand, the minister traveled to Necochea and held various meetings, including with the mayor of that Buenos Aires district, Arthur Rojas, with the president of the Port of Quequén Consortium, Jorge Alvaro, and with businessmen linked to the collection activity, export, the agricultural sector, representatives of maritime agencies, leaders of the chambers that represent the terminals, and representatives of cooperatives.

The official highlighted the incorporation of the municipality to the second stage of the Strategic Plan for the Improvement of Rural Roads “Since it is essential not only for production, for all the inhabitants, but also because it allows to promote connectivity and guarantee access to rural schools or health centers.”

“We understood that it was important that the Rural Roads Plan also reach Necochea.
