Taxi aggregators are suspected of violating competition

The Department of Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has identified signs of coordination of the activities of taxi aggregator companies in Russia, follows from the investigation materials of the commission. Izvestia got acquainted with the documents, their authenticity was confirmed by the EEC.

They talk about five companies on the Russian market that have been found to have violations: Yandex.Taxi, DiDi, Gett, Citymobil and Bolt Technology. The last service has not worked in Russia since the fall of 2021.

The actions of the aggregators led or could lead to the establishment of prices (tariffs) in the passenger taxi market in violation of paragraph 3 of Art. 76 of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, concluded by the EEC. Specific cases or circumstances of violations in the EEC were not disclosed.

The materials of the investigation were submitted to the antimonopoly authorities of these countries, including the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service. The Federal Antimonopoly Service told Izvestia that they had received the materials of the EEC investigation, and they are currently being analyzed.
