“Without industry, Germany is a poor country”

And now we want to do that too!” Said Benner.
It is good that politics showed to have understood. “But no special fund has yet been decided, nothing is yet clear,” said Benner. All political forces should now take responsibility so that this central project does not fail.
Under the motto “My workplace. Our industrial country. Our future!” According to the union, more than 77,000 people took part in the rallies, although appearances of well -known bands and artists should also have played a role. The numbers could not be checked. The events took place in Hanover, Stuttgart, Cologne, Frankfurt and Leipzig. IG Metall spoke of the union’s largest public action for decades.
