The cost of basic baskets rose above general inflation in the city of Buenos Aires (CABA) during February. This reflects that price increases harmed more to the most needy sectors of the population.
According to what was disseminated on Monday by the Institute of Statistics and Census of the City of Buenos Aires (IDECBA), the value of the basic food basket, which determines the threshold of destitution, climbed 3%, while the total basic basket (CBT), which is used as a threshold to measure poverty, advanced 2.3%.
