Seven years after the start, the DBAG is looking for a successor to accompany the broker’s next growth phase, especially in digitization and internationalization, according to a joint message from both companies that the German Press Agency is present.

Further development with a strong partner

In 2024, with sales of a good 149 million euros, the best year in the company’s history was quoted in Daniel Ritter, managing partner at von Poll Immobilien. Now it is about a further development with a strong partner who opens up long -term perspectives.

Tom Alzin, spokesman for the Board of Directors of Deutsche Beteiligungs AG, emphasized that the partner’s selection will be made in close coordination with the management.

Search for interested parties runs

Von Poll Immobilien, founded in 2000, operates more than 400 locations in Germany and other countries in Europe such as Austria, France and Italy. The company competes with Engel & Völkers and specializes in high -priced properties. Von Poll wants to expand further in Europe and should remain under the direction of the managing partners when changing the ownership, as it was said.

Previously, the “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” reported that the DBAG had commissioned an investment bank to probe the market for possible interested parties. The financial investor acquired about 80 percent in 2018 from Poll Immobilien. In the participation industry, an exit from an investment is common after several years.

First major transaction since deal at Engel & Völkers

A sale of Poll would be the first major transaction among German brokers since 2021 when the financial investor Permira had taken over the majority to Engel & Völkers. According to financial circles, the company valuation was around 700 million euros. In the deal, the Völkers family and part of the management kept almost 40 percent of the shares.
