It should be a global day of action against Tesla, especially because of its founder Musk. The participation in Berlin was limited, unlike in the United States.
In several places in Berlin and Brandenburg, demonstrators protested against the US car company Tesla by MultiMilliarche Elon Musk. For the international day of action against Tesla, a group of about ten people stood in front of a Tesla store in Berlin-Reinickendorf and showed a banner with the inscription: “Turn the rooster to turn.”
Worldwide protest day against Elon Musk
The international protest is a reaction to Musk’s participation in the government of US President Donald Trump. It is also called to sell Tesla vehicles and shares.
In a large shopping center in Berlin-Mitte, several demonstrators in the Tesla showroom orange rogue umbrellas had spanned and laid on the floor, the initiators of the protest said. Similar actions were seen in Munich and Nuremberg.
In front of a dealer of Musk’s e-car company Tesla in New York, 500 to 1000 people told their displeasure with the tech billionaire. Some of them called for the closure of the Department of State Efficiency (Doge), with which Musk drives a radical reduction in personnel and funds in the US state apparatus.
“Too much money and too much”
The environmental protection organization Planet Over Profit, which believes that Musk must be stopped, had called for the protest, “to save life and protect our democracy”.
“Elon Musk has to go,” the demonstrators called in front of the New York Tesla dealer in Manhattan. Musk leads the country towards “fascism,” said 70-year-old demonstrator Amy Neienfeld. The presidential advisor and richest man in the world “has too much money and too much,” said another demonstrator.
The rally in New York, which was accompanied by a large police force, was peaceful, as was another demonstration in the US capital Washington. Around 150 musk opponents came together there.
“Don’t buy a Swasticar”
In the Canadian city of Vancouver, around a hundred people protested in front of a Tesla dealer. A demonstrator in a dinosaur costume kept a poster with the inscription: “You said that the Nazis have died out? Don’t buy a Swasticar.” Swasticar is a pun from the English words for swastika (swastika) and car (car).
