The “day of liberation” announced by US President Trump is imminent. Then new tariffs should be announced. These should be directed against all countries without exception, as it now clarifies.
According to President Donald Trump, no state should be spared from the planned mutual tariffs in the United States. “You would start with all countries,” he said during a flight with the presidential machine Air Force One. “We would speak of all countries.”
The global trade conflict, which is increasingly emerging due to US customs policy, burdened the exchanges of Asia at the start of the week. The Japanese leading index Nikkei 225 most recently fell by around 4 percent. For the Hang Seng index of the special administrative zone Hong Kong, the most recently went down by 1.7 percent and the CSI-300 index with the most important Chinese mainland shares fell by around one percent.
“Liberation Day” is imminent
Previously, Trump’s business advisor Kevin Hassett told Fox Business that the US government would concentrate on the 10 to 15 countries with which the largest trade weight weights exist. Trump wants to announce a large customs package next Wednesday. He exclaimed the “Liberation Day” (Liberation Day) for the United States for the date.
For the day, Trump recently announced additional tariffs of 25 percent of all auto imports. According to a report by the broadcaster NBC from Sonntag, Trump also threatened to occupy the buyers of Russian oil with punitive tariffs. These would therefore be 25 percent and could come at any time.
