Traffic sector brakes German energy transition
What about the German energy transition? The judgment of the international energy agency is not even bad at all. With a big exception.
According to a report by the International Energy Agency (IEA), road traffic in Germany brakes the energy transition. According to the IEA, the federal government has to set more incentives so that consumers switch to climate -friendly alternatives. Specifically, the experts call the expansion of public transport, more electric cars and the use of biofuels. Low -emission vehicles could be made more attractive with tax advantages. Germany had recently saved the funding, the demand for electric cars hardly gets going.
In addition, the report issues a very good testimony: Despite great geopolitical challenge, Germany recently accelerated the energy transition. If the federal government sticks to its ambitious goals, this would result in enormous economic opportunities.
