In times of great uncertainty about US President Trump’s customs policy, Siemens Energy presents a convincing interim balance. The view is just as positive.

The energy technology group Siemens Energy surprisingly developed in the second quarter. Thanks to an excellent order situation, the company raised the forecast for the current financial year 2024/25. Sales are now likely to grow by 13 to 15 percent instead of only 8 to 10 percent on a comparable basis, Siemens Energy said on Wednesday evening after closing the IPO.

The Munichers also want to do better with profitability, and the profit margin should now be between 4 and 6 percent before special items. So far, only 3 to 5 percent were officially on schedule. The stock listed in the DAX added almost four percent on the trading platform Tradegate compared to the Xetra closing.

In the second business quarter (end of March), the orders attracted over half to 14.4 billion euros on a comparable basis. The turnover increased by more than one fifth to just under 10 billion euros. Adjusted for special effects, the result rose to 906 million euros, which was more than five times as much as a year earlier. According to the company, analysts had only expected an average of 577 million euros.

The corresponding margin attracted 2.1 percent to 9.1 percent. The bottom line was that Siemens Energy earned 615 million euros after 501 million in the previous year. Book losses from the sale of the majority share of the Indian business of the wind power daughter Siemens Gamesa came into play here.

The company will present the details of the quarter on May 8th. Siemens Energy wants to update its medium -term goals with the years.
