More than two million train passengers over Easter

Despite numerous construction sites, numerous people got on the train again over Easter. The train has a passenger record in long -distance transport for the holidays.

More than two million passengers have been traveling in the long -distance trains of the Deutsche Bahn over Easter. That was five percent more Easter travelers than in the same period in the previous year and more than ever before, as the federal group announced. Around 72.5 percent of long -distance trains came to the goal on time, it said.

The ICE and IC trains were more punctual than in the months before, despite numerous construction sites that slow down the traffic. As a late, a train only goes into the statistics from a delay of six minutes. In addition, failures are not taken into account.

Traditionally, the train uses the holiday season with fewer business trips for maintenance work in the rail network – also over Easter. There were restrictions between Berlin and Munich and in the Ruhr area. “Where it took longer because of the construction sites, we thank our passengers for their patience and understanding,” said the train.

Where possible, the company used longer trains and increased the number of seasonal connections.
