China signals cooperation after Boeing blockade
The US aircraft manufacturer Boeing had already had its machines ready for delivery in China. Nevertheless, they had to go home. China is covered in the matter and prefers to advertise.
After the acceptance of aircraft from the US manufacturer Boeing in China, Beijing has signaled willingness to cooperate with companies from the USA. The People’s Republic is ready to promote business cooperation between companies of both countries, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing. China and the United States would have long maintained a relationship in the aviation sector that had promoted the trade of both countries.
Last week it became known that in the ongoing trade conflict between the world’s largest economies of China’s Airlines, no delivered Boeing aircraft will no longer accept. Three machines were ready for delivery in China, said the head of the aircraft manufacturer, Kelly Ortberg, in the US broadcaster CNBC.
No confirmation from Beijing
“We have about 50 aircraft on our plan, which should go to China this year,” said Ortberg. According to him, the group wants to find new customers for unexpected planes. The arrangement of no longer accepting planes followed the escalation in the trade dispute, in which the United States now request up to 145 percent tariffs for goods from China. Beijing defended itself to imported US products with surcharges of 125 percent.
China’s Ministry of Commerce did not confirm the order and only explained that he had taken note of corresponding reports. The tariffs of US President Donald Trump had disturbed the aviation industry and made normal trading activities impossible. China’s airlines and Boeing suffered from it, the spokesman said. Beijing hopes that the USA heard the voice of the companies and that they will create a predictable and stable trading environment for them.
