Lufthansa will be the first intercontinental airline ever to fly directly to South Africa’s famous Kruger National Park via its subsidiary Eurowings Discover.
From Frankfurt directly to the well-known Krüger National Park – this should be possible for passengers of the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings this year. From mid-November there will be three weekly flights from Frankfurt to the animal paradise, the Lufthansa Group announced on Friday.
The Kruger National Park is one of South Africa’s top tourist attractions and one of the largest national parks on the continent.
Lufthansa flights from November
It is about the size of Hesse and is known for the large number of wild animals such as elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards and buffalos. Until recently, the RTL jungle camp also pitched its tents at its borders.
The flights will operate between November 15 and March 25, 2023, with a stop in Windhoek, the capital of South Africa’s neighboring country of Namibia. They are part of a consistent development of Africa’s tourist paradises, which also provide direct flights to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania or the world-famous Victoria Falls between Zambia and Zimbabwe.
